1. Online Social Networking
2. Business/Work/School related tasks
3. Online Gaming/Software Video Gaming
4. Media Playback (Watching Movies, Listening to Music, Viewing Photos, etc.)
5. Web Surfing

I check email and correspond with people through that media;
shopping!;
Facebook;
Participate in several forums and message boards;
I love mydeathspace.com'
Weather reports and forecasts;
Mindless surfing of the web until the wee hours.

No gaming for me.
Some listening to music on occasion, but no video (internet speed is too slow)

Depends on the computer...

My desktop is used mostly for work, but it's also my primary do-stuff computer, so it also gets used for everything from video/photo editing to web development to flight simulation.

My laptop is lightly used for work, web dev and occasional surfing. It also travels when I do.

The netbook was bought to be an ultra-portable work pc, and rarely gets used.

Then there's the little eMachine that's setup as our Internet gateway and phone system.

The newest addition is a custom built Home Theater PC, which is dedicated to audio/video (tv, movies, etc) and media storage (2tb RAID array). It also serves content to the Media Center Extenders in the bedrooms.

And of course, the HTC Evo, which isn't what most people think of when they think "computer," but that's what it is... I use that one mostly for talking on the phone, texting and web surfing.

Those are the computers I use.. There's several in the house that are used by other people. I guess you could say that we're a tech-heavy household...

I usually do all of the above. But no. 6, really? I threw it in there for the fun of it. I usually surf the web or play video games (mostly) since I spend a huge chunk of my time playing video games.

Is C-D considered social networking or surfing? I dont do Facebook etc.

Work, Finance/Stock research, surfing, News/current events, Media playback, Work stuff...and yes I've seen people acting like animal planet as well.

1. Surfing to collect/confirm information, mainly via search engines.
2. Shopping/price comparison, mainly on Amazon, eBay or Pricewatch
3. Couple of online forums for half-ass socializing
4. Web based E-mails
5. Occasional software/document downloading
6. Occasional movie/TV watching (some legit like Hulu and YouTube, some not so much...)

That is pretty much it.
