Anyone remember the earlier days of the internet ... that was without ads and spam?

Porn always existed, however.

thecoalman,

I remember my Commodore 64 well. I used to spend hours hacking in the code from Creative Computing magazine just just to get some little pixelated character to wave, or a balloon to fly across the screen. All of my work was saved to a Commodore Datasette. Great fun. I actually would love to buy another and relive those days...

It pains me to think of those days as I did the same thing too.

Remember the 1541 disk drive was one sided only.

Charles,

I eventually got the floppy drive as it was faster than the cassette player. I miss the simplicity of those days.

We were still using them at my previous gig !

Okay, .... not the floppies. But there were still some round reels being used to file with those State agencies that are on a tight budget. Works fine.

Wow, this thread might as well have been called "How much of an old fart are you really?"

I don't remember anything prior to CDs and CD drives.

.....well okay, I refuse to recall!
