Default Best laptop processor at the $500 mark.
It seems that there are literally dozens of processors out there in laptop land. I am looking for a sub $500 laptop. I know I want 4gb of ram, at least 320 gb harddrive, HDMI output, 10/100/1000 gigabet ethernet. But i am confused with all the processors out there. Is the i3 the best at this price range or is there one better. I don't game but i do chat, surf, and load tons of pics and music. Thanks for the help.

Yes, I agree the i3 is the best for that price range. I think there's only a few quad-core laptops out now and those would be more expensive anyway.
