Default Acer bootup problem
I just purchased a Acer 5552-5898 laptop with windows 7. I really like it but am having 1 annoying problem. During bootup from sleep mode or shutdown mode, I will get a continuous alarm until the system bootsup usually lasting a 20 to 40 seconds. Laptop works fine afterward. I tried to look for alarms in the control panel but could find now. anyone got any ideas on what to do? Thankyou.

Contact Acer support, Windows 7 has no such alarm so it's specific to your laptop, may be a hardware issue.

Is it just one beep that keeps repeating over and over again or is it more like Morse Code? For instance: one beep, pause, three quick beeps, pause, one beep. It probably is a hardware issue but if there is a beep pattern it may help narrow the issue down.
