So I finally upgraded to Yosemite and set up an iCloud account. Now what? I can’t share my music library it seems. Same with my iPhoto. Have no idea how Mail even enters into the picture. There are various pay options which I am not interested in. I have an iPhone and iCloud is turned on but once again I am not sure where to go from there.
Go to settings on your phone and choose icloud. There you can set things up. For example, you can choose photos and then turn on photo stream. Any new pictures will be save to icloud. You can access photostream on your iphoto on the Mac. Other things like keynote, or pages, or other apps, and be set up similarly.
iCloud is just a revenue stream for Apple. Start using it and you will run out of the free space they give you in 6 months, or so. Then Apple will let you know: "Hey! For $25 we can give you more space! or $50!"
I haven't run out of space on icloud yet. I also have dropbox and other cloud services to use if I do.
