IRQ conflicts are one thing that I will never miss!

Just did the full test ... 48/50. I'm pretty certain the HD-DVD (haha) question was one that I got wrong ... the other, I have no idea, since as you said, there's nothing that points out which ones you missed.

Ditto. I jotted it all down, 2-15, then the devices next to it before assembly. 2/9 are reserved, 3 and 4 went to com ports, 6 is floppy, 7 went to LPT1. 5 usually went to sound cards. 10 went to the NIC. 11 went to the VGA. 14/15 usually went to the IDE. 12 and 13 remains for whatever additional peripherals you want.

I took the standard test and scored 84. Honestly I think it is a silly test. Many of the questions asked have very little practical value. And of course the test is almost completely PC-centric. It does not evaluate computing knowledge.

Another thing I won't miss. My motherboard has buttons on it now. Real slick. I can power it on without having it in a case. Not that it's practical after the first few days, but cool. I still run into jumpers but def not dip switches any more.

I'm surprised people are having trouble with the pictures... when I took the mini test, they showed up (although there were only 2 with pictures).

Pictures showed up in IE, but not in FF4. Not important enough to troubleshoot, especially since the test was mostly underwhelming.
