I have spent a lot of time making up some RE flyers and saved them to my documents. Did them in Word and when I open them they show up as mixed symbols...??
What am I doing wrong and how can I correct this to show in any other font?

This is making me have to do the work over

Help is appreciated.

HW

Save them as a PDF file 1st.

I am not an expert by any means, but I have the same problem occasionally and that works.

select all, go to your font menu, Sometimes the missing fonts(s) will appear in grey. If you have said font, turn it on.

Other than that, select any common MS font. You may lose some formatting, but at least you will be able to read it.

A screen shot is worth a million words.
Can you post a screen shot how it looks so someone can give you the real cure?

They either got corrupted or you either saved them in a format not recognizable by your word. If the later is the case, a simple renaming or conversion to a universal formal like pdf usually works.

I think you are asking for something beyond their capabilities.

Instead of double clicking the file name to open it right click it instead. On the menu scroll down to Open With and from the fly out menu choose the program you created the file with.

Results??
