The best reason is so I can make money fixing it after the "registry cleanup"

I'm all for people experimenting, it's how I learned but be prepared to possibly screw something up. One thing I learned is not to use a registry cleaner.

I used one these a few years ago, slowly I found issues over the coming weeks like my inability to use Dolby audio in my video editing program.... That's proabaly the biggest isue because you might not be aware the "fix" has corrupted something.

In over a decade using CCleaner I have never experienced problems after using it (nor other products).

"If it ain't broke don't fix it" is one of my cardinal rules....

But when it comes to the windows registry "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" is the rule....

Actually, I was partially correct.

I still need a new battery laptop but the laptop is still slow. Are there any good alternatives to CCleaner?

CCleaner has several functions. Which function do you want to replace?
