Before I go through all the trouble to have IT reload Excel. Has anyone had the problem of the functions in Excel to quit working? Example: I have a spreadsheet that tracks deposits on a daily basis. I have always been able to just copy from the previous day all the formulas. I can no longer to this. It will also not automatically update when I have it set to sum a group of cells.

Your experiences are greatly appreciated.

Go to "Tools" and click on "Options". It will open up a multi-tabbed menu. One of the tabs is marked "Calculation". On it you will see several options. Make sure the "Automatic" option is selected. You can also force it to do a "Calc Now" (or hit F9) that will rerun all the formulas in the workbook.

Occasionally for some strange reason I have had workbooks switch from automatic to manual and the formulas stop working. Usually in workbooks I do a lot of copying and pasting in.
