When I click my bookmarks tab, the dropdown menu does not show "organize bookmarks" or "bookmarks manager". So, how can I export my bookmarks to a flashdrive?
Why do they keep making Firefox easier and easier to hate?

Not sure where that menu item was before, or went to, but if you click the orange FF button, and then Right Click the bookmarks menu item, you'll get the bookmarks manager.
Are you trying to export them for another browser (might be easier to use the other browsers import feature), or are you moving them to another computer?
If the later then you might look into the "sync" feature, it does a great job of moving bookmarks (and much more) between FF on multiple computers.
You mean the orange button in the extreme upper left corner? Clicking that only gives me Restore Move Size Minimize Maximize Close.
Trying to export to a travel stick, for another computer. How do I "look into the "sync" feature" if I can't even do something as elementary as locate the bookmarks manager? How will that help? Eventually, I will still need to command Firefox to turn the files loose.
If I click "File", I get an Import option, but not an Export. If I click Import, I get only options for importing from another browser.
Wow. Thanks. That was logical and intuitive. How the hell did you ever figure that out? Well, now I have it as an html file, which I had to search for in the start button, in order to move it to my travel stick, since an option of where to put it is not offered. It remains to be seen what will happen if I ever try to re-import it.
I think Firefox ought to have an open competition, and ask people to suggest ways of concealing all their simple, everyday operations, in ways that nobody will ever find them. That will give spammers and virus-makers a fun new way to sabotage computer usage.
That's almost as good as the hidden method of creating a file to arrange bookmarks in. If you click the Bookmarks tab, you're already dead in the water. There is no way to get to the operation from there.
Don't mean to bump old threads but if anyone finds this page and is looking for help with firefox bookmarks (like I did), there's a good, thorough tutorial here:
It also covers importing into chrome or IE. I just switched from FF to Chrome and so far I'm pleased with it.
