Let me try to explain again. The DSL modem is connected to your phone line. When it is turned on, it tries to connect to the DSLAM in the phone company switch via PPPoE. If the username and password stored in the modem work, you have a connection. When you turn your computer on, the TCP/IP protocol looks for a DHCP service, finds one in the DSL modem and acquires an IP address. Any user account can open a browser at this point and get on the Internet because all the technical stuff has been done before an account is even opened on the PC.

You're over-complicating it, try making the account and test, you'll be just fine

Your router speaks to your computer's network interface card, not the profile that you're on.
