I bought this wheel from Fry's and it was defective, so I'm returning it. But if I bought it from Amazon, I wouldn't know how to return it for exchange or refund. Does anyone here know Amazon's process for that? Have you return / exchanged / or refund stuff in Amazon and what was your experience?

My experience has been excellent.

Go the "your orders" select the order or the item, check you want to return it, explain why in the text box, then print the shipping label and RMA, box it up put the return authorization in the box and put shipping label on the box, and give it to your mailman.

In about 4 days you get an email that they received it, and then a second one where they credited your credit card.

I just returned a router last week, and the hardest part was finding my roll of shipping tape to tape the box shut.

What is it with shipping tape. Mine runs and hides in a different place after every use.

I've returned plenty of stuff on Amazon and have never had a problem. To find out the return process for your item:

1. Log into your account on Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more (duh)
2. Go to Your Account
3. Find your order
4. There should be a link next to the order that says "Return Item"

Of course, depending on how long you have had the item and what type of item it is you may not get a full refund.
