I guess RAID0. The difference in speed probably would not be perceptible but at least you wouldn't have to deal with two partitions. I don't have much experience with RAID though.
1. This is a home PC, in which the OS is going on at least one.
2. No important data will be on these drives, just programs and Windows itself.
3. They're small and I didn't get bigger because they were given to me and they were free.
4. I think I've settled on 2 separate partitions, although that might be nightmarish when installing all my programs again. I think 1 for OS and a few progs, the other for the rest of the progs (games mostly). But I definitely do want more opinions on this.
5. I like numbered lists
To geek around with a raid 0 seems fine. Especially if the drives were free.
You get extra speed and "bigger" space.
1x120GB partition would be perfect for OS install and essential programs. You can always buy a TB drive (or use your old HDD) and store files (not programs) on that.
What's the reason for partitioning? If it's for backups for for easy cloning I guess, but if you're running RAID and are really worried about that then if one of the drives fail you're out of luck anyway.
So I guess if it were me I'd RAID 0 them, and install Windows and all my programs, games on it and use a HDD for storage, like Pictures and documents and Music.
Well, by "partition" I meant install them both as independent drives and forgo any RAID setup at all, but as you said, it really wouldn't make 2 ****s of a difference anyway :P
If your RAID controller supports TRIM then a RAID 0 would be a screamer, if not I wouldn't do it.
Or if the SSDs have built-in garbage collection. May of them do, making TRIM less important.
