What's the difference between Yahoo Mail and ATT Yahoo Mail?

I use Yahoo Mail and earlier this year, they nagged me into upgrading to New Yahoo Mail - the old one is now called Yahoo Mail Classic. The new one has some problems (buttons not responding or contacts not loading).

My friend has ATT Yahoo Mail and it looks like she never had to upgrade - is it possible there is no "New" version for ATT Yahoo Mail?
I think ATT Yahoo Mail has a "Classic" and a "New" - but I'm not sure if it's all the same as Yahoo Mail's Classic and New.

I am having problems entering text after entering the Subject. There is no curser to proceed? I would like to get back to the original 'Classic Mail'.
HOW?
