My computer usually freezes after I first boot it up. After a reset, sometimes 2, it works fine and can run for hours. Occasionally it powers off.
I verified that all the fans are working and took the side of to see if heat was causing the reboot. It still froze with the side removed.
I ran memtest86 on it and passed the test, but a few times the screen got really weird and I had to exit out of the program. Do you think this could be a RAM issue?
Someone mentioned there are programs to test the CPU and GPU. Can anyone recommend anything.

XFX Radeon 6950 HD 1gb with 2 fans
Intel I5 CPU w/heat sink and fan
ASROCk p67 Extreme 4 MOBO
8gb of RAM
windows 7 64 bit
2 200mm fans and 3 small 120mm fans
XFX Pro 750W PSU

You said you only took the side of the case off. Did you actually go into BIOS and look at the temps? Also, you can get Rivatuner to check your GPU temps.
yah download MSI Afterburner with Kombustor and run that...
go to overclocker.net might be with an S and they have all the links
to the best and free programs for testing PC's run some tests on it for like a
day or so....just a question here you don't have to answer but if your
Windows 7 64 bit isn't legit....that might also be it. Get another copy.
Last thing check your Ram timing you might have to change it, again go to
that website and check in there, they can help you out with stuff like that
or I can too if you give me more info.

I havent physically saw what the temps are on the BIOS, but I can see through catalyst control. They are around 31-52c.
I dont understand why temps would make my comp crash once than not crash again after reboot?

Windows copy is legit. I ran memtest86 for a full pass. First time I left it overnight when I came back it was still running but screen was messed up. Ran it again and after an hour the screen was messed up again. I can show you pictures I took. 3rd time it made a full pass after 8 hours. Even when the screen was messed up I saw no actual error warnings. Could moving my RAM help the problem.
Another possibility is video memory. I don't remember if memtest checks that. You could pull the video card out and run the test using onboard video.
