I just leased a all in one HP Omni 120 from the store and I love the fact its an all in 1 but I hate the fact it won't play games I have because the processor is to slow. What is the best all in one computer around? trying to find something under 600$ if possible.

Depending on what games you want to play, (and your comfort level with computers) building one at home can be pretty cost effective. You can do a budget gaming rig for $500-$600 in parts. The first time you do it is the most expensive because you have to get a case and hard drive(s), and Power Supply. If you drop the extra coin for a good power supply, and get a big case upgrades get pretty cheap from there on out.

I'd suggest a motherboard with integrated video, then when the time comes you can put in a nicer video card and be able to stay current for a while. When the time comes to give it another upgrade you just get the motherboard, CPU, and maybe some RAM (if the standard has changed by then, which it probably will have) which will run you a couple hundred bucks.

The last time I redid mine I went for a big hard drive, better power supply, and a video card right out of the gate. About $600 for a high end build that played everything at the time quite nicely.

For the power supply, be sure to look for an 80 Plus Active PFC supply from one of the following manufacturers:
  • Antec
  • Enermax
  • Thermaltake
  • PC Power and Cooling
  • Seasonic
  • Cooler Master

What games are you trying to play? Some games require strong graphics processors.

"All in ones" are simply not built for gaming. Period. An "all in one" is the type that have all the compnenets built into the monitor.
HP makes the best ones and Dell has a decent one.
But these are not made for the gaming crowd.

Exactly. By purchasing an All in One, you sacrifice performance and the ability to upgrade for a smaller footprint. If you want to have a gaming rig, build a tower. If you want an All in One, forget about any graphic intensive gaming.

I replaced my desktop with a Inspirion 2305 All in One. I had some manufacter problems with it so they replaced it with a Inspirion 2320 All in One touch screen. I like the HD features and I love the features on it. It's fast for me but I don't play games on it.

New Inspiron 2320 All-in-One | Dell
