Close. They ask questions generated on a computer by the answers you give and read off a list until they transfer you to someone with a bigger check list

Ya, Service Desk/Call Center does. Deskside Tech Support (which I do) is much different. We get right in there and get our hands dirty.

Google is definitely a big resource and many times has the answer for you. But, you often have to figure it out on your own.
