I don't know what I may have touched but my opened browser window suddenly became borderless, as when Full view is selected. Even the bottom tool bar disappeared.
I could not find a way to bring it back to normal. I used the Esc key like I have done when going from Full View back to normal view, but that did not work. The only thing I could do was hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete and end all applications. When I tried again and opened a new browser window, it opened the new window and I could see the top part but it seemed to roll up and disappear. At the bottom (where the tool bar is supposed to be) it says "Done"

Is this some kind of virus or malware?
I have done a full scan with MSE and Malwarebytes and no threats were found.

Would doing a complete Restore fix this.....

I am using Windows XP and IE8

I remember when I first did that and I didn't know I hit f11 by mistake.

I was like:

LOL

Its really nice to read pages like that though. So if you want a nice big clean looking page for reading just hit f11 again and enjoy!

Thanks for saying that Opsimathia. =That's exactly how I felt .

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
I get a kind of panic feeling when I can't control my browser window size. ...Isn't that crazy of me!

Default Still not back to normal !!!

OK..... I used F11 to get my browser window back to normal.
But now when I click on the "Full View" it goes to that same view where it does not show the bottom tool bar and when I hit "Esc" it does not bring it out of Full View, like it used to.
I have to use F11
I used to always use "Esc" !
Now my Esc key doesn't work at all. What's it for if it doesn't work for that?
It's like it is a dead key

Do you mean the status bar? Click View, Toolbars, Status Bar. If the File, Edit, View menu bar is not visible, tap the ALT key.

If you move the mouse pointer to the top right corner then you should see (they should appear) the 3 buttons (X to close browser / square to maximize or restore window / line to minimize window). Just click on the square one nd it will come out of full screen mode. That's what I do on my netbook that does not have the f11 key.

I remember now . . I've actually done that before many times.
I guess I was not thinking right yesterday (it was one of those days)
