I am going frikkin insane.

Firefox kept telling me to upgrade to the new version and I finally did and ever since, it just keeps freezing up over and over and over again. I end up having to just hold the power button down on my laptop to get it to shut down as the whole computer seems to freeze up when this happens. It has frozen up my system at least 10 different times in the past 2 days.

any advice appreciated!!

I found this thread on another forum- with 69 people saying they are having the same problem since upgradinng to version 10.0.2

Firefox Support Forum | Firefox Help

is there any way to go back to an earlier version?

I had NO problems at all until I switched to this version.

I am not a computer wizard, so I need to figure out a simple solution to this....thanks!!

Warning: Old versions might not run on Windows 7. If it doesn't you can try successively newer versions.

Old Version of Firefox Download - OldApps.com

Download (save) the old version, uninstall the new one and install the old one.

Thanks.... since my last posts,
I deleted Firefox off my system, then went and re-downloaded the version I had, installed it, and the first time it opened, it crashed.

How do I figure out what version of windows I have? (I am clueless!)

I will go to the link you posted.....

Ok, I went to that link and went back to a version released in January, prior to the version I had, and installed it, now using it.

OMG. I think the problem is solved!!! No crashing yet.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
