Sometimes when I print from a pdf file it prints out with the text all jumbled up and not readable .. (almost looks like a foreign language).
This does not happen all the time. ..In fact if I print the same pdf file again,... it will be fine.
It is very unpredictable when it will print out readable or not.
I've been putting up with it thinking it was just a glitch.
However, I've been trying to print out some IRS tax forms from the IRS website and it's driving me nuts, not to mention a big waste of lots of paper having to print it over and over again to get it done right.

My computer has Windows XP / IE-8 and I just installed Adobe Reader X recently.

Has anyone ever had this happen?
Thanks in advance for any advise.

I don't have the option "print as image"
Where is that option???

Never mind,...... I just found it under "Advanced"
I'm printing out a page now........

It's done and it printed out good with the "print as image" checked.
Is that supposed to be checked to print all pdf files ?
Why did some print and some not before.
In all the years I've printed pdf files, I never knew to go to the "Advanced" settings to make it print as an image.

Thank you for the help 'plwhit' :-)
Should I just keep it set at that or do I need to change it back to where it was when I print again?
As you can see........ I'm confused.

Sometimes they just don't play nice with the printer driver. It happens quite frequently at work, and I always have my users print as image. There isn't any noticeable difference in quality. Some complain because it's an extra step.....lazy lazy
