Yes, was regional tech support for the platform including the XE-500 and XE-550 Centix)...

Was backup support for the B-1000's.... (yeah I know, the small stuff)

Remember this?

IVolume
(Device name]
(Device password]
Volume name
(Volume password]
(System Image (default - 0))
(log file (default - 0)]
(Crash file (default - 0))
(Max. directories]
(Max. files on volume]
(Primary file headers only?]
(Max. files in Sys Directory]
(SY5 Directory password]
(Write protect Sys Directory?]
(Suppress format of medium?]
(Surface tests)
(Debug?]
(log file]
[Extended floppy tracks?]
[Hard disk type code (default - A))
[Use ECC format?]
(Bad spots (See Doc.)]

BTOS was hands down superior to Netware (was also a CNE when the term actually meant something)

Ahhh the old days.....

Yea, trained on BTOS when the B21/B22 first introduced, then XE's. Was also B80/90, B700/800, B1000's A4's and A6's and DP1800's to keep it interesting.

I also was a CNE, (3.11 and re-cert on 4.0) plus Bay Router Specialist, one of the original NISE when the position was first created.

I've used all of them except the HP/UX or other unix specific OS. the one i hated the most was Windows ME, it made ME want to write a "fun" letter to Microsoft in how wonderful the OS was.

.... that just brought back memories. CNE was actually my first cert.... I was supporting a bunch of 3.12 clients and my employer put me through the training to become a CNE 4 to better market themselves as well as support the anticipated flood of requests to go to 4.0/NDS.... don't think that ever really happened as most stayed on 3.12 (or went NT 4).

And Bay Networks....wow.. the good o'days - when one's work attire were jeans and vendor t-shirts...

You forgot one major one. z/OS or one of its predecessors such as OS/390, MVS, etc. I used one of these everyday for more than 15 years.
