Hi, I have a Compaq Presario computer with windows Vista Home Basic. I'm been trying to download the software Ad-Aware 2007 Free. I can start the download and when gets to 15 Mb's it stops working for some reason.

Here is the site I start the download from below,

Ad-Aware 2007 Free - Lavasoft

Thanks, John

Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com is typically where I get everything.

Here's a link for Spybot search and destroy. This is the other spyware program I use in conjunction with Adaware. Spybot - Search & Destroy - Reviews and free downloads at Download.com

Also, Avast is a great free anti virus if you don't have one yet. Avast Home Edition - Reviews and free downloads at Download.com

UseJeff, I did too until I got the spybot worm from a copy of SpyBot-Search & Destroy from them. That's the reason I use Majorgeeks now. Scanning the file I downloaded from Spybot didn't reveal the worm til it was too late. That was a couple of years ago but I am a bit paranoid about them ever since. If I can get it at Majorgeeks, I will.

And using AdAware with Spybot is fine, I use both (not at the same time). I also use AVG Anti-Spyware (use to be known as Ewido), a-squared Free, Spyware Blaster, AVG A/V Free, and Zone Alarm Free. Liz

I'm always cautious downloading from anywhere, and I know download.com can let things slip through the cracks. I'll check out the majorgeeks... I always love new sites to download stuff that I can try and figure out some need for, just to have the excuse to download it

Thanks,
