I have a PC I keep in my insulated garage in Florida. I do have an AC in there I use at peak heat times, but generally the PC is on and it can get up to 80-90.
It is a regular HP $600 desktop. Am I asking for trouble and killing the life on it?
Any cooling solutions for PC's aside the AC in the garage that I use here and there?
I've used my laptop at 110 in Arizona for hours at a time. I wouldn't worry about 80-90. As EscapeCalifornia said, blow out the dust periodically and just make sure the air flows freely.
Most video cards tend to stop working around 110°C (about 230°F) and most processors like to stay under 55°C (130°F) but most can handle up to around 90°C. Check your manufacturer for accurate temps. This is not advice to run your PC at 120+°F.
