I'm looking for a program that will allow me to delete and replace pages from a .pdf document. The online chat at adobe says their only offering for this task is adobe x pro, which at $450 is above the budget my employer set forward for the software.

I'm a drafter and I create construction drawings that need to go through approval from several different agencies, including engineers who put their seal on the drawings. Once sealed they go to another group who may request changes on one or 2 pages. I Submit them to the engineer to be restamped, but need the ability to remove the outdated pages from the .pdf and replace them with the new updated page.

Please advise me on any software options you may know of that will allow me to accomplish this, the budget I have is roughly $200.00.

Here's a link to a very good Adobe substitute: PDF Converter PDF Editor Edit and Convert PDF, Word files to PDF, Free PDF convert, save PDF forms, create PDF forms, pdf documents, protect pdf

I dropped Adobe when they started automatically installing Symantec software with reader updates.

Acrobat Standard can't add/remove pages? That seems like a pretty important function to any PDF program. Anyway, I'm currently using Nitro PDF. I think it was about $100. They have a free trial.

+1

You can use PDF Creator which installs a virtual printer and lets you print any thing to it which in return spits it out as a PDF document. So, let's say you have a 10 page PDF document and you do not want pages 8, 9 and 10, then you act like you are printing the document, choose PDF Creator as the printer and specify only the pages you want to include so it creates a new PDF document with only the pages you specified, simple and effective.

This is an older post of mine from another thread:

Here is my list of various free PDF applications for different needs:

- For fast and light PDF Reader: Sumatra Portable
- For something with more features and light editing (free version): PDF-XChange Viewer
- For PDF related conversion tasks: PDFfill PDF Editor
- For splitting and merging PDF documents: PDF Split and Merge
- For converting documents to PDF: PDFCreator

Here is a simple tip, to get rid of a page from a 10-page PDF document, you can either use PDF SaM to split them into separate pages then merge the ones you want or use PDF Creator to re-print even a PDF document and only select the pages you want, excluding the pages you want to get rid of.

I use pdfsam.

Just make sure you uncheck all the toolbars they try to install along with it. They starting including those and it's annoying.
