Default settings.sol pop-up

I keep getting this Copy Folder pop-up that says the settings.sol folder does not exist, the file may have been moved or deleted. Do I want to create it?

Whether I reply yes or no, the pop-up still shows up occasionally. Anyone know how to put this pop-up to rest? I'm running Vista Home Premium. Thanks.

settings.sol is an Adobe Flash file. Try uninstalling Flash and reinstalling it, that may fix the problem. I did a google search on the issue, and while there seems to be quite a few with the problem, there aren't many with the answer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Let you know in a couple of days (or sooner if it pops-up again) how things are going.

Just for the record.... I run Microsoft Security Essentials..... had to disable MSE to let Adobe Flash install.... went into Ccleaner and disabled it in the Startup window.

If the Flash update doesn't solve the problem, you can delete the 100s of folders that contain seperate settings.sol files -

Quote:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Fla sh Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys
Any site you visit that utilizes Flash will rebuild the directory along with the settings.sol file.

EDIT: Please note that there is no space after the a in Fla sh Player - a vBulletin setting is causing the space.
