Windows 8.1 is very snappy and not so much of a battery hog on my notebook.

On my desktop/gaming PC I run Windows 7 for obvious reasons.

Laptop #1 (a pretty big, desktop replacement) runs Ubuntu/Windows 7 side by side.

Laptop #2 (travel size) runs Lubuntu.
