Recently (and finally) picked up an SSD and threw on a nice clean install of Windows 7.

I've pushed my entire user profile over to old drive, a 300GB 10k Raptor. However, when I went to delete the old Windows and Program Files directories on the second drive, Windows decided to tell me that I need permission from Administrator to delete the files.

I've already given myself permissions (and I'm part of the Administrators group), and taken ownership of the directories--but they won't delete. Originally it was all TrustedInstaller's fault (going to kick that guy's ass when I find him), but ownership should have fixed that.

Am I missing something?

When I get really frustrated that I can't delete something, I boot from a BartPE CD and delete it from there. It deletes them, no questions asked.

That's not a terrible idea, but I'm lazy and my live disk is a mile away.
