Can someone please tell me what is the difference in these two laptops? Best Buy Staples
I have went through the specs, and from what I can see, the only difference is the model number. (And the price.) I almost think that the one at Best Buy could be a Best Buy exclusive.
I'm only asking because I'd much rather buy a laptop from Best Buy than Staples.

Thanks!

Default I can't tell

I am a nerd and I know how to research.
I cannot determine the difference.
One is 300 Series and the other is a 500 Series. The Samsung website shows the 300 Series with a more powerful graphics processor, but this
NP350V5C-A01US model is not shown and this model has the same Intel graphics chip as the NP550P5C-A01UB.
This particular 350 model appears to be only available at Staples.
And, the NP550P5C-A01UB appears to be only from Best Buy.

Thanks for your help I also looked at Samsung's website and googled the model numbers, but I am admittedly clueless about what makes a computer work. I can do anything with any program and fix external problems, but I know nothing about the insides

Since it looks identical maybe you could go to a staples and compare and try to find ANY difference at all between the two. The try to price match at best buy. I sure can't find a difference. Maybe the dimensions very slight but it is real? Maybe by looking and playing with them you will find some small difference in the keyboard or screen or build quality that is significant to you.

They give it a different model number to help the stores avoid price matching.
A01UB for $599 or A01US for $529?

For $70 difference, I would buy the Staples model in a heartbeat.

I looked through the specs several times and the only difference I can find is one lists its card reader as a 3-in-1 and the other as a 4-in-1. Other than that they seem to be the exact same laptop. I would go with the lower price.

IMO buy the one that cost less. As in a post above, the manufacturer puts different model numbers on them for the different stores, so either would probably do you.

There are a lot of components such as the case that may not be listed in the specs, though. I would see if there were any other differences. It is strange though that the model number for the staples version is NOT listed on the Samsung website support page or the page with models. Maybe contact Samsung directly and see. It does appear to be the same computer. Why best buy over staples? Just curious.

All the important specs are listed and they are identical.
As has been said, companies often give a specific model # for a device sold to specific retailers.
I have an Asus G53SX. Best Buy sold the exact same laptop. It was a G53SA. B&H had one that was identical and it was the G53SXV.

Get the cheaper one.
