Control-PrintScreen will take a snapshot of your Windows desktop, assuming you're using Windows.

Then, you can use these instructions to upload the pics:

Thanks - I'll try that. It doesn't appear to do anything when I CTRL+Print Screen.... I read the instructions in the FAQ, I don't have a little paper clip icon (I do have the screen in my pictures folder thanks to a previous post that discussed the sniping tool).

Once you hit "print screen" or whatever it might be similarly labeled on your keyboard the image is saved to the clipboard. You have to paste it into an image program. If you don't have one open Paint.

There is also the snipping tool under the accessories menu.

Now, this is my real desktop. And yes, it is freaking cold over here.

Are you sure that it has 1 MB RAM? I haven't seen a PC with 1 MB RAM since the early 90's. I am pretty sure that XP won't run on 1 MB RAM either.

Haha, Program Manager. Man that takes me back. Windows 3.11 for Workgroups was my first Windows!

Anyway, here's mine:

The character is "Freya" from Chobits. I have her on my desktop because she is the only character from any fictional work that I've ever felt any kind of intense connection too. Some characters from books such as Dune, and video games such as Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI come close, but not quite. Part of it is that I've always had a soft spot for artificial intelligences. Not just androids/gynoids, but regular robots and even sentient mainframe computers.

That's what the "stuff" directory is for. Instead of a jumbled mess of large icons, I have a list of small icons I can sort as needed.

Eek! I meant 1 GB. No, you're right. 1 MB of RAM would run PC/GEOS, perhaps, but not much else. DesqView. Or maybe GEM.
