I'm sure this is easy to fix... but (laptop, mouse, email)

I don't know why this is happening. The problem... when I try to compose an email or like this message... I am writing along and I look at what I am writing and the letters are being printed on other lines and in the middle of other words. It's really frustrating.
Laptop? You're touching the touchpad while typing. That, or the chassis is so weak that your typing is flexing it and sending errant inputs to the touchpad.

I think EscapeCalifornia probably got it with the touching the touchpad on a laptop. There is usually a setting in the touchpad settings for disabling the touchpad while typing so that doesn't happen.
Definitely the problem. I see this ALL THE TIME. Do you use TAP TO CLICK where you tap on the touch pad to click things instead of clicking the touch pad buttons? If you do NOT you can disable TAP TO CLICK altogether.

Tap to click is likely the issue. I see it a lot at my company, too. You should be able to disable it by going to Control Panel, Mouse and there should be touchpad settings in there somewhere.
