I think when you click share in the facebook app that there is no way to make it go to a group. It just shares from your own profile. Sorry that I have no answer.

The latest update of the iPad/iPhone app has a "share button" on facebook. Otherwise copy the link in your status bar and make the post.

As far as to a group or private message, not yet.

EDIT: you can share within a group of friends, or on your customized lists. As far as groups, nope.
