I am trying to download Itunes to my new laptop and it is not saving the file in my download folder. I keep searching for a file with the word "itunes" in it and can't find it! This is driving me nuts... any suggestions???

What operating system and what web browser are you using?

Without knowing, I'll suggest that you look in c:\users\%username%\downloads.

I'm assuming it's Windows and yes, the Downloads folder is where the install file is located.

Is it possible you (or your boss) have downloading disabled and it isn't being downloaded to anywhere?

Do you have an opportunity (a prompt) to chose a place to download the file to?

Thanks folks - I am on Windows 7 - I checked the downloads folder and its not in there ... normally when I download a file it asks me where to save it , but the window that pops up off the itunes site doesn't give a choice like that. It just has the option of "save"

I may end up taking my laptop to work (its my personal laptop) and asking our computer guy if he can find it for me

Click "Firefox" in the upper left corner, then Options, Options on the menu.

On the General tab, look under the Downloads section.

Which option is selected? The default is to save it in your downloads folder.

Choose the second option to be asked each time where to save it.

That box is checked.

I think I may try using a different browser and seeing what happens.

Thanks!
