That's exactly the right thing to say in a public forum. We need to provide practical advice for non-techie people, not brag about how lucky we are when we surf porn sites unprotected (kind of apropos description, don't you think? )

There is zero reason to use NIS when a more than adequate firewall is built in to Windows, and there are many free AV programs capable of protecting users.

Norton may be better now, but why install a monstrous package of security software, much of which is just feature-ware? I am unwilling to reward Symantec with my business after years of enduring their miserable piggy software.
