Hi,

I am an Australian moving to USA in a month or so.

I need a new Mac Book Pro. I am thinking i'll probably get a better deal in the USA, so should hold off until I get there.

I want to buy

13.5 inch Mac Book Pro 2.9GHz

In Aust they retail for $1,499 with free shipping from Apple online. I could probably get several hundred dollars off that with teacher or military discount.

Where's the best place/cheapest place to buy Mac products in USA? (Reputable company only) I'll be living in San Diego, California.

TIA

MacMall. But I think the nearest brick and mortar store is in Huntington Beach.

Apple computers are MAP( Minimum advertised price ) priced. So you won't find much of a price difference between reputable stores. The best way to find special short term sales is to look at fatwallet.com and slickdeals.net. But usually MacMall does have the best overall pricing.
