Sorry, I was mistaken, the "enhanced" indicates USB 2.0
"eXtensible" indicates USB 3.0

You can add a USB 3.0 card if you want the faster transfer rates.

If you have a desktop computer with a load of data, its worth the small investment to do the upgrade. The card is $5-$10 on ebay and pretty easy to install.

I have a laptop. I've been inside of desk tops before, but have never opened up my lap top.

Have a PCMCIA expresscard slot maybe ?
