I am having the same problem with Office 2010 that I did with Office 2003, and I am hopeful that someone here can help me.

I have a four-page Word doc. It is a draft Memorandum of Understanding between several different entities, and it is important that all copies of it in its current form clearly show that it is a draft.

I know how to put a watermark on a Word doc. I know how to choose "DRAFT" printed diagonally across the page. What I do not know is how in blazes you get the entire word to print on each page.

The doc looks fine on screen. It looks fine when I preview it. When I print it, page one has "D A T" printed diagonally, page two has " R F " printed diagonally, page three is back to "D A T" and so on.

I even got tricky and divided my four-page doc up into four one-page separate docs. I put the "DRAFT" watermark on each individual doc. And they STILL printed with every other letter.

I am certain that there is some blindingly obvious (to Microsoft) solution to this. But it is certainly not obvious to me. And having just spent the better part of an hour trying to get this stupid four-page doc to print out with the entire word "DRAFT" printed on each page, I am about ready to strangle Bill Gates and all his minions.

Help?????

Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! That works perfectly!

I've passed that link on to at least half a dozen other folks at my office who have battled the same gremlin, and we are all tickled to have the answer at last.

And I will bite my tongue and refrain from saying what I think about any software company that delivers multiple versions of a widely used product with a default setting that is known to cause problems like this one....

Add Bullzip PDF printer driver (free program) to your printer list and send PDF files instead of the MS file format. I used to get a kick out of using a hex editor to read .doc files and seeing all the corrections and early drafts and comments.
