I installed Java Version 7. Internet Explorer (Capture2) shows a test of it working correctly, but the same test doesn't work in Chrome (Capture) Any suggestions? Suffice to say, the application I need to run doesn't work either.

TIA

Its possible Java has been disabled in Chrome. Type chrome://plugins in Chrome's address bar and look for Java in the list.

It wasn't disabled. I clicked "always allowed" and then tried it again. No luck.

Are you sure there is nothing wrong with the app on the site? See if you can run this Java test on Java.com or not: How do I test whether Java is working on my computer?
Chrome uses the same Java engine as IE, so if you can open the same site in IE but not in Chrome then the problem is with Chrome. What version of Chrome are you running?
Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing Chrome?
