I downloaded a YouTube video entitled "Baby Great Horned Owl And Cat." I wanted to share it with Facebook, and a window drop down with the following information: Flash objects must have the ''source'' and ''picture'' attributes.

Therefore would not let me share it. What does it mean? Thank you,

If you want to share it, you need to share the actual Youtube.com link to the video.

(Or convert it to another format and upload it to your facebook account video's.)

Thank you so much for your reply.

I was on YouTube, so what do you mean "the actual Y/T link? I share lots of Y/T videos to Facebook, and this is the first time that this has happened.

About the second part of your statement, where do I learn to do that?

Ok, I thought you might have downloaded the video to your local computer.

The best way to link to a youtube video in Facebook is to copy the URL of the Youtube video and paste it into a status update. Facebook will recognize that it is a youtube video. If there are problems with the video, like it looks to be on this one, then you may just not be able to post it.

For downloading the video from Youtube and converting it to another format...it can be done...BUT I highly recommend to not bother with this:

For one because it's illegal. Youtube terms of service: “Content on the Website is provided to you AS IS for your information and personal use only and may not be downloaded, copied, reproduced, distributed, transmitted, broadcast, displayed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any other purposes whatsoever without the prior written consent of the respective owners.”

And for the more important reason: Because almost ALL of the websites and software out there that provide the ability to save a youtube video contain malware of some sort. If the download and converting software does not contain it, the website you visit to get the software does.

So, besides brekaing the law, you are trying a very risky thing to save off a youtube video. And in my opinion, it's just not worth the trouble when you can watch the video on youtube and not worry about where to store the file or how to get it.
