I remember going to Target and getting these by the handful turning on that dial up and of course the occasional "goodbye" crashes. *Sigh* 2004

Yes, used to get them in the mail all the time ... but I was on Compuserve at the time.

Those make really good scarecrows. Hang them from strings in the garden and they swing and flash and scare away the birds.

Who had to go anywhere? They showed up in snail mail by the dozens.....

I used an AOL 10 free hour CD to get access to the Internet and find a real ISP.

These trial offer CDs were included in the nearby town's
freepaper (weekly arts wrap-up), for several months.
I'd just have to keep throwing them away.
Never used AOL myself.
Started off dial-up via Earthlink, remember them ?
