Do you remember Meg Ryan's computer from You've Got Mail? That would be the Kanga, like its successor the Wall Street, which is about as powerful as your wristwatch now. What an amazing machine it was, and only $5,500 retail too.

Do you have good memories of the old Macintosh machines?

PS I am typing this on a 12 year old Macintosh that I bought new.

PPS Joe Fox is using a Thinkpad, but in his boat or office uses a Mac

I've used Macs since 1987. I enjoyed them in their day, but I have no desire to go back to a pre-OS X model. Kinda like how I don't miss the car I drove in 1987.

Tragic. You couldn't even use it as a word processor?

Better to save the old computer. You never know

For example, Christie’s auction house sold an Apple I computer for over $200,000.

No kidding, we threw out this one a couple years ago and I'm just sick about it. Don't know what this went for, but lucky person that had the foresight to keep it.

That's just an asking price. You don't know that it sold for that price.
