Today (Fri July 12) and Wednesday, around midday, Google has been really slow. This is just ordinary searches or image searches, and just on a Windows computer. Has anyone else noticed this? Other sites (like Facebook) are normal.

On Wed it was slow until 130 PM or so, then went back to normal.

Sometimes I'll be at google.com and switch over to image search, it'll be slow but usually it's instantaeous.

Actually it's starting to clear up now (around 130 PM PST) but I'd like to know what's going on.

I've used Google on and off throughout the early pm here, including image, and didn't notice that.

p.s. sorry, not on the internet in later in the pm (here in the East), about your time, so don't know.

It's happening again now, on and off. First time since Friday.
It happens with more than one browser. And I have cleared the cache and history, etc.
And again, only Google-related sites.

I didn't have the problem for a week but in the past few days it's happening again, sporadically.
Again, it's ONLY Google main search or image search. All other sites are normal speed.

Its a global issue and its being worked on. It is not a router or service provider issue. Download the Opera browser and run it in turbo mode as it seems to have the least issues right now.
