Hello,

A question:

I would like to upgrade my dell battery from a 6 cell to a nine cell so that I can have 4 hours of laptop time rather then 1 and a half. However, Dell no longer makes 9 cell batteries for my computer. Instead, I see some third party brands that make 9 cell batteries for my laptop. My questions are the following:

A. Are third party batteries for Dell Laptops safe?

B. Which are the best brands?

Thanks

I did that a while back, and what I ended up was that I also had to buy another charger for our Dell unit.
So, take that into account. Make really sure that it really IS a larger capacity battery !!!
I now have a 90 Wh battery, about 1.5 times bigger in *size* (It sticks out from the the top of the case)

I know my wife has been very satisfied with laptopbatteyone extended life batteries. Do a search and decide for yourself.

I assume most batteries are rated in that value (mAH)

I checked the above suggested source, and can not find the one I have ...
