I'd go with HP myself. I have had many different brands of computers (desk tops and lap tops) and HP has always been reliable and the best. You couldn't pay me to buy a Dell.

I bought a really nice ASUS (brand new) a while back with Windows 7 for about 50% off retail. $399. It runs rings around my older Dell Vista machine. This one is a rocket ship. And it wasn't loaded up with a lot of "crapware" either.
