Windows Data Execution Prevention (installed, Windows Vista, program)

I have recently installed a Mcafee paid-subscription on my Windows Vista that seems to be at odds with the Data Execution Prevention program of Windows. Windows tells me that they had to shut off Mcafee. I tried to get an update from Windows with no luck. And if I contact Mcafee I get the country of India or the Philippines, which half- of- the- time I cannot understand them because they have an accent, and I have an accent.

Any suggestions? Thank you,
