I have a question to which I could find the answer but it might be disastrous. What would happen if I clicked on my PC Start button, went to Computer, clicked on C Drive icon and then clicked on Format and allowed it to proceed (that is; if it would proceed)? Could it really format my hard drive?

In windows? I'm pretty sure it's not going to allow it. If it did it would certainly cause problems.

Also, a computer doesn't format files - it formats partitions. It's all or nothing.
