Yesterday, a friend helped me change the black borders on my desk top to a lighter color. That went fine. We put the shortcut icons back in place - across the top and bottom. This morning the icons had all relocated themselves along one side. They are not easy to read there because of the background. How do I lock these icons into the place where I want them?

Also, they and other pages have all shrunk so as to be hard to read. How do I make them larger?

Last, the cursor bar is now a thick rectangle. Can I fix that?

Thank you for help.

#1 Have you resized the display recently?

#2: Hold the CTRL key and roll your mouse wheel.

Yes, we went through sizing and resizing yesterday when working to change some colors. My computer had come with black borders which were making it impossible to read some lines at the top - specifically the menu columns. On the Desk top, it was two wide black borders. A friend got the color changed and did have trouble with the icons even then. She thought she had them stabilized but apparently not.

Thanks much. I shall go do as you say.
