I saw this on Digg and thought I would share the link

How to Remove Malware From Your Computer - it was written by someone I know that goes by the name of Hackman2007 (Josh)

If you enjoy the info, please give him a nod at this Digg Link (http://digg.com/security/How_to_Remove_Malware_from_Your_Computer - broken link)

Good site. Only a couple of nervous-making bits if the reader isn't computer literate.

I give it a thumbs up!

The author is a pretty patient guy that's helped many "newbs" get rid of infections. He's able to keep his cool and explain things so that they understand.

I use Zonealarm Internet Suite, AdAware, Spybot, Spware Guard, Spyware Blaster, and Ccleaner.

I thinks that's everything....

I am a self-employed Computer Consultant. I've seen enough that I have decide to err on the side of caution. You wouldn't believe some of the c**p I've found on client computers.

I thought some of those spyware programs compete against each other>

Some one on here had told me how to see what was running in my back ground by using Hijack this but it was just to techy for me
grand daughter had put Lime wire on and after a lecture from me I uninstalled it but from what i gather it can still be there...ugh!!

I posted several threads here relating to the same subject.

And here was one linking everyone to all the ASAP people on the web who spend there time helping people for free to rid themselves of spyware/adware.

After re-reading the post linked in the OP, I agree with step one and two but anything after step 3 needs to be handled under the watchful eye of someone skilled in these matters like an ASAP member at one of the forums designed to handle these.

Please, UNLESS you are trained as an ASAP member or in IT, do not attempt step 3 forward on your own. You CAN mess up your computer. Liz

The one's I uses (except for Spyware guard) are run manually so they don't interfere with each other unless you run them at the same time. I don't. You also have to update them manually.
