Found this in my search on fonts this morning, a discussion about Vista's fonts (which some have altho I don't):

OK ak03, don't shoot the messenger:

I would love to include Vista's core fonts, but unfortunately I can't
find a complete
list. I've spent hours searching for one. I can only assume Vista
would have the fonts
from XP + the 6 new ones, but would hate to put up a list that's
incorrect. Since I don't
have Vista there's no way for me to check.

You might try the MS windows vista newsgroup......one of the msmvp's
might be able to give
you a list. You can find all the MS newsgroups here:

In case you don't have the 6 new fonts they are:

Have a great weekend!

A system font, one that if you delete it, it will mess up your computer (by replaceing the missing font with a wierd font)

I also found more in a knowledge based article when I was looking to see what the last set of fonts were (the ones with WST in front of them. Turns out they are only used by M$.

Windows uses the Wingdings or Webdings font

And that KB article also gives you the list of core/system fonts to put in the registery if there is a problem with your fonts. Liz

Oh my.... That program IS K-RAD!!!!!!!

I have 391 fonts installed.... 403 all together....... (It didnt tell me the 12 that were not (I wonder if I could just delete those 12 files (If I can find them (Ah man!!))))

My question is: Why do we need ANY FONTS INSTALLED??

Doesnt the browser DOWNLOAD THEM on demand?? (I think mine does) -- So if you goto a website and you do not have a font, your browser DOWNLOADS IT as a temp font....
