We test recorded an audio using Audacity. When played back it is full of static and the content is barely legible.
Anyone used it and know which settings are involved in recording an audio such as audio from youtube?

While post #2 is chock full of useful information, I suggest you google about audio clipping. Just might be your problem. Your recording level might be too high causing severe distortion. You can try downloading HarddiskOgg. It records and outputs to an mp3 file. It has a meter that indicates clipping. I think audacity also has a meter. Try lowering your record level. Anyway good luck sir.

If whatever is suggested above does not help, try
i-Sound WMA MP3 Recorder Professional

I use it all the time with no problems.
