Thanks
Did you update the anti-virus? Depending upon the version the anti-virus you installed may not have the detection protocols to see the malware. Also not all anti-virus programs protect against malware and adware.
This particular one is bundled with another program that may have installed itself into your comp without you being aware. It often comes courtesy of comprimesed websites (websites can be hijacked or the ads on them can carry the malware/virus/trojan) facebook may be where you got it.

Remove Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net pop-up ads (Virus Removal Guide)

This details how to remove that malware.
"When the Programs and Features or the Uninstall a Program screen is displayed, scroll through the list of currently installed programs and uninstall RightSaver, SafeSaver, DP1815, Video Player, Convert Files for Free, Plus-HD 1.3, BetterSurf, Media Player 1.1, PassShow, LyricsBuddy-1, YutubeAdBlock 1.2, Media Player 1.1, Savings Bull, Feven Pro 1.1, Websteroids, Savings Bull, HD-Plus 3.5, QuickShare and any other recently installed unknown program from your computer."

Remove Outfox.TV hijack (Virus Removal Guide)
"Outfox TV is a potentially unwanted program, which is promoted via other free downloads, and once installed it will add the Outfox.TV toolbar, and change your browser homepage to Outfox.TV."

Having an AV installed is far from a guarantee that you won't get infected, that is more reliant on your surfing habits. Almost every infected computer I work on had current and up to date AV software on it when it got infected, so don't think you're immune, no matter what solution you use.
Ok I will get rid of McCrappy later this evening

Just return the laptop.

I'm not going to get into the technical aspect of infections and you can get them easily from non porn sites too. Just because you only goto sporting web sites doesn't mean that those websites won't be targeted as a vector to get to you.

Return the laptop an try out something like a chrome book or iPad. Another thing you can try doing is never install plugins like java, flash , acrobat, etc.

Enough with the chromebook or Apple product suggestion BS, people come here for help with existing products, telling them to go out and buy something else doesn't solve their problem, and is not looked upon favorable here.

The OP recently switched to Chrome and enjoys it more than IE 11, they also recent purchased and swapped , what sounds like windows 8 for a 8.1 and doesn't really sound happy with that interface. The OP also didn't answer my question if they use Outloook, so it is hard to say if they do more than just web browsing. Some retail stores have as short as 7 days before a restocking fee kicks in. Now is the time where the OP can decide if they want to spend their time learning a new system. I disagree that the best solution is to suck it up and stick with windows.

The problem is the usability of a new product which I think I adequately addressed.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree. We've had clowns on here before who's answer to everything was run out and buy a Mac. This seems to be a common reply of yours in multiple threads. If you can't actually provide helpful info (which telling someone to go out and buy new equipment is not), then don't bother posting.
